There are however more than enough weapons in uprising that they could simply give Dark pit a significantly different set of them to regular pit, if they did want to make him playable. Probably just be a pit alt costume again though.
Could just be an assist trophy too. I personally think he'd be a pallet swap, possibly with differently colored abilities.
