Ness has been in Smash Bros. since 64, and has been a secret character since then. People keep going "WAHH HE ISN'T COMING BACK" but out of all the past characters, I doubt they'd cut one that's been in the series since the beginning. Same goes for Captain Falcon, Falco and Jigglypuff.
Lucas I fear might be cut, because he might have just been there to promote Mother 3, which was only about 2 years old at the time... and was a Japan-only release.
I also highly doubt Game & Watch is being cut.
