This is exactly the conclusion that my friend and I came to while talking about the footage and the quote. Demise's curse only dictates that his evil, those with the goddess bloodline and those with the spirit of the hero will be locked in an eternal battle. No where is it ever said that the Hero has to be male, or, furthermore, that the one who hails from the goddess' bloodline cannot also be the one with the spirit of the hero.

I would pineappleing LOVE if Nintendo was doing this. It would be a great change of pace and twist to the franchise. A protagonist who is both "Link" and "Zelda" in one. Yes please.

i don't want this, in all seriousness. switch the sex of link and zelda if you want, but don't make them the same.

i doubt s/he is both, half the game is meeting the other thirds of the triforce, the one you have to protect and the one you have to defeat.
