the kages will be red shirts; just enough distraction to let the main characters do things.
sasukes concern lies in the fact that naruto doesnt think well about his actions during clutch situations. and foreshadow exactly what happened next.
sasuke: dont worry about sakura
naruto: i cant help it
*kakashi & sakura fall
*naruto tries to rescue them
*kagura attacks sasuke's summon (while naruto is distracted & hands full)
its obviously not in naruto nature to let his friends DIE, sage-sensing the lava was not genjutsu went to rescue them, but if they were in tsukeyomi, there would be no distraction.
(flashback to kurama throwing kakashi into obito's sharangan dimension)
one more flashback... remember obito telling sakura to destroy the eye? its not like he would have died from a kunai to the face...
sakura wanted to be badass (show them MY back) why did she have to regain her stupidness/weakness/confusion/imagirlteehee
chips were on the ground, sakura failed to perform... yet again.
