you're definition of glitch is not in the normal terms of the term then. A glitch is when something happens that shouldnt happen at all due to a malfunction of a calculation or something. Having less friction in the air is defined by the physics engine of the game, and is NOT a glitch, but the ability to jump and conserve speed is abusing the engine(as that's how the engine is designed), and not abusing a glitch.
e.g Capturing mew using the mew trick is a glitch because it depends on the "special" stat of the first pokemon you would have fought, Missingno is a glitch because the old man alters game memory. On the other hand, tricks like wavedashing in Smash Bros is NOT a glitch, but a physics exploit. This trick would be considered a physics exploit.
