If they could have done it, they would have already done it this year. They didn't, and they can't. It's incredibly telling that Mario kart is the first game nintendo had planned for this year (the only other one they've released so far, DK was delayed from November last year despite being finished because of just how barren the release schedule was).
People didn't buy it because "they are sheeps". If you have to resort to insulting people as a point, you have to realise you might be the one who is wrong. They bought the consoles early in the lifetime for the exact same reason you buy any console early in it's lifetime: you expect a lot of games for it during it's 5-10 year lifespan and want to get there early.
Who cares if one ubisoft AAA game plays exactly like... well, a ubisoft AAA game (because we all know that they're all the same thing). People buying it knew what they would be getting, and the game just smashed records for first day sales, so obviously people wanted it. Missing out on 3rd party stuff like that is exactly what's killed the wii u. No, getting it later doesn't work.
