I am aware that the Wii U is still far from saved, but Mario Kart and SSB will increase the number of console sales by a lot, if you add a couple of good games in the horizon for gamers to acquire in the next 6 months / a year it might be all thats needed. You have to keep in mind that right now neither the xbox one nor the PS4 are in any better position than the Wii U, if Nintendo can capitalize on that and get a hold of the market by releasing great games first then they'd be put back in competition, it'd be 3DS vs PSP all over again.
Super Mario Galaxy (or Universe) is, aswell, known for its great quality as Mario Kart and SSB are, so there's no doubt that it'd become another console seller game, another thing to do would be release a game Nintendo fans have been asking for like another metroid or star fox or heck maybe a kid icarus game like uprising but using the power of the wii U, that'd be great.
