Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion

Question, will this adapter work only for SSB or all Wii U games, if not, what's the point?

The point is the smash bros community will never stop fawning over the gamecube controller and will gladly pay money to not have to leave the last decade. I might not bother with it because I already have 4 classic controller pros from my wii which I can use, but if you don't have 4 controllers for wii u already, there's a good chance it's cheaper to buy this adapter.

It will only work for games programmed to use it, and nothing else.

Maybe, MAYBE it could be detected as a classic controller and also support those games, but it's still a trigger and select button short for that.

The other option is maybe gamecube virtual console support is coming soon and that would be an obvious use of this.
