Friendship system in DFO was good, for a while. I did the insane thing of having 15-16 characters all gifting for materials. Every single day. It was the best and worst thing ever. Want to make a steady income? Gotta sit on your ass for 3-4 hours while you gift ALL the NPCs everyday! Oh and if you miss gifting for a few days? Their friendship begins dropping and you gotta get them back up all over again. I find the daily quests for Alchemy mats was far less of a hassle and time consuming (~20-30 mins compared to 3-4 hours for all my characters).
