There's kind of a need to balance hard and fun. If you want hard, you can always do the end-game dungeons or run dungeons with garbage gear. Do you still have fun just exploding enemies into fine chunks compared to spending all day to even whittle down one bar? I know Rangers faced that plight regularly when they're dirt poor, and it sucks so hard. There's also the possibility that the person's account isn't brand new, so any class can seem OP.
