It supports that Ivysaur and Squirtle are gone but does not confirm it (Unless Sakurai said something different, which I may have missed).
There's also a few I don't think have been confirmed yet. Falco? Wolf? Meta Knight? Some are bound to be secret characters though, like Jigglypuff, and so we won't see any info about them at all most likely.
Just keep in mind guys that I believe Jigglypuff was NEVER confirmed before brawl even came out, so Sakurai may pull the same sort of shenanigans this time around as well. There's just no way of knowing for sure what the full roster is going to be until the game is actually out.
