If there were 2 transforms during 3rd job, shockwave would be great. That cooldown is the only thing that keeps me from liking shockwave. By the time you get a lot of transform usage (4th job), it gets replaced by dragon strike.
Shockwave gets replaced. Drain will always be useful up to lvl 200.
Think about it like this. When you're 4th job, how do u train from lvl 120-200? Some people use barrage for high level monsters for an OHKO. Great, you can OHKO after that slow ass animation, and you'll be killing at the same speed til lvl 200. The only thing that can increase your training speed, is a faster attack. My drain can hit 15k+ already, and im lvl 127. What about when im 15x? I'll be doing 20k+ drains ez. Barrage could never keep up with that kind of training speed. Its slow animation will just slow you down later. You need a strong/quick attack. Drain is great while your low level for when you can't OHKO with barrage. Doing a barrage + 2/3 drains is better than doing barrage twice. It's hard for me to just sit here and explain how awesome of a skill drain is. That's why im making a 4th job control video. To show how comboing your skills together is a LOT better than spamming shockwave.
