I'd guess that Nexon America would assume the rights of the game (possibly globally this time) if it turns out to be successful. Since Neople is part of Nexon, Nexon could go... "Oh, wow, it's so successful! Our branch [NxA] is failing and we need the money, can we take the game back?" and NxK will go "Okay!" and hand the rights back to NxA. And even if Neople says "No!", Nexon Korea is very demanding and very hostile. (Look here: http://msupdate.wordpress.com/2011/06/23...en-attack/) so it will eventually go to Nexon.
What I don't understand is why the game never became global under Nexon America's hands? It couldn't possibly have been a publisher issue since Nexon = Nexon.
Was it because they couldn't find a way to properly monetize the game globally? (Though it wouldn't have made sense since GMS was global.)
Was it because they were originally going to setup different regions (Asiasoft publishing in SEA region, another company publishing in this region) of the game but those fell through?
