I don't see why anyone would choose /now/ to boycott nintendo.
They don't let you play anything other than a white character in animal crossing (unless you temporarily burn yourself by staying in the sun for hours...) and I can't remember anyone having a problem with fire emblem: awakenings lack of homosexual relationships, so...
That, and miis are virtually genderless anyway, as all hairstyles/faces/blahblahblah are accessible to both genders, so if you want miss marrying other miis that are quite clearly of the same gender (despite what the gender menu option says), you can always go for it.
