so, just to make sure.

get 10 cygnus soul fragments
fuse them
then i get a common or rare soul
apply it to my weapon
that then works as a magnifying glass and i can now see what effect it had.

correct?

You can see the stats it will give before putting it on your weapon, the completed Soul will have a specific prefix for each stat (and it will show the stats it gives in the description).

Also yeah the soul pieces are instanced drops
