aaand horadric caches are speculated to have a trick to them

you can weight the RNG in favor of equipment in certain slots, and doing it is REALLY SIMPLE

just unequip an item from that slot, the loot system is weighted so that you find items it thinks you "need"

if you have a bad weapon, more weapons will drop
if your boots suck, more boots will drop
if your rings suck, more rings will drop

etc etc

just unequip whatever slot you're trying to roll a lego for before you turn the quest in to get your cache from tyrael

just tried to farm for a ring of royal grandeur while leveling my wiz using this method, got it on the 3rd cache in by unequipping my rings

4chan's /d3g/ has tested it successfully with bracers and gloves so far, I believe
unequipping your weapon might result in more weapon rolls, but the loot table for weapons is really silly as it is.


THIS ALSO EXPLAINS WHY CERTAIN PEOPLE SEE WAY MORE LEGENDARIES OF CERTAIN KINDS
The loot system thinks they "need" those items.

gonna test this on resplendent chests by unequipping my weapon/focus before I open them.

Tried this with 16 caches and no rings equipped.

Only got two rings out of it, I believe, but:


Great runs with [MENTION=6037]Dark Link[/MENTION], [MENTION=18]Justin[/MENTION], and [MENTION=21]Tikey[/MENTION].

Now, I have the full effects of Aughild's and Captain Crimson's which is very nice. I wish I could also have Born's, but my Aughild's takes up the Shoulders and Chest, and I'd rather not replace my Reaper's Wraps in any situation. Might try to craft a separate Born's set to run as an alternative to Aughild's though.

Sadly, of the 30 Caches I opened today, that was the only legendary, but it's at least the one I wanted. My Crusader is sitting at 10.5m Toughness now, around 480k Damage, and 41% Cooldown Reduction.
