Ike and Marth were the only (not awakening) fire emblem characters referenced in Awakenings main story mode, having an entire bonus chapter set vs ikes descendent priam using ikes sword ragnell. They also made no hesitation multiple times in the DLC as calling ike various versions of "the strongest person to have lived".
He's in a much better position for returning than Roy ever was.
