I like the UI the way it is now. The Unleashed UI was disappointing to see implemented, because to me it looked like it was more of a work-in-progress. It looked messy here and there, like there should have been small changes made to clean it up, but months passed and it stayed the same. Another problem I had with it is how much space it takes up on the screen. Luckily, the laptop I use can use widescreen mode (1366x768) but I realize that the game still supports the basic 800x600 (or whatever, I forget) and the Unleashed UI tookover way too much of the screen for that screen resolution. The UI we have now is fine, it takes up little space, which means you can quickly open your skill/item window without having to stop somewhere to protect your character (which is something I hated doing once the Unleashed update happened). One huge issue I had with the Unleashed equipment window is that it shows your character in the middle of it. Normally, you'd think this would be some new feature, but to me it seemed very unnecessary. The character wouldn't change when you equipped something new, and it felt unneeded as you can already see your character onscreen at all times without a duplicate in your Equipment window. The new Equipment window is nice, it's small so you can open it without covering up too much of the screen and it's color coded (Accessories are blue, regular armor is grey, your weapons are dark grey, etc) which just looks nice and is semi-useful for scrolling. I also really like that it covers up the Second Pendant slot unless you actually have it unlocked, as that can be confusing for new players.
All in all, the my main thoughts about the UI is that Nexon had two choices:
1. Update the Unleashed UI to clean it up, so that it doesn't look like someone's concept for what a new UI could have been.
Or 2. Let KMS do the work, and stick with whatever changes KMS makes to the UI. That way it's ensured that it's at least of worthy quality.
Honestly though, some people seem to have liked Unleashed's UI, why not just have a toggle option for either, like with the Mini-map? That would make everyone happy.
Though, even if they do this, I would hope they fix the problems with Unleashed's UI (Example: How the open-all key was a bit...buggy). Otherwise it would be a shame to see them attempt to bring back the low-quality Unleashed UI.
