Anytime you're ganking that's time spent not getting another item, most games terrorblade goes something like treads, drums into radiance and farms up manta-style, heart, black king bar or butterfly(There are a few other items these were just the most typical) and proceeds to murder everyone after he got one or two more core items ontop of the radiance.
Obviously the item progression varies from game to game depending on what you need, it's far from locked in stone, this was just one of the more typical builds.

Maybe ganking was the wrong word? What I mean is there were plenty of times where I went up against him, either pushing or defending, and he suddenly went invisible and disappeared. I didn't purposely go out of my way to fight him when he was just wandering around. I did do some pushing, I had taken up to tier 3 bottom lane in the first 10 minutes or so. It was just when team fights started things were getting annoying due to Nyx stalking me, Legion looking for duels and Tusk blocking us in with his ice wall.
