Why did Gabe Newell picked Sand King as his favourite hero?

My expectations were shredded, so i'm upset at the waste of time lol. I was expecting a proper analysis of sand king which to an extent was done but ruined for me with all the ass kissing to valve. To each his own. Reading the comments of the source page confirms i'm not the only one lol.
