Why Sheik? Irrelevance as a nintendo character isn't really an argument given they're still bothering to put starfox characters in (lol).
Seriously though, Captain falcon, Jigglypuff, Game and watch, Ness, Wario, Yoshi. are all absolute guarantees to be in.
Ganondorf and Ike are either going to be in, or replaced with an equivilant character from the same universe.
Zero suit samus and/or Ridley are going to be in.
I have serious doubts that both falco and wolf will be cut, though which one stays is another question (probably falco).
Pacman and mii are all but confirmed from the e3 leak that got 4 of the 5 current newcomers announced.
Kid icarus is getting a second rep from uprising. And since takebacker doesn't seem to play any other nintendo games, Hades was the main bad guy for the game, Magnus was an ally/playable character/boss fight for several parts of the game, and a boss. Palutena is slightly more likely to be chosen, I suppose, but smash bros could really do with more nintendo villains too. (Since any significant story mode is all but confirmed gone).
It's also really hard to imagine at least one of Xenoblade/Golden sun not getting a rep this time. Shulk with a bunch of transforming sword attacks with the monado or Isaac with psyenergy should both really be easy characters to design.
