I'd normally not post like this but...

An alloy is not a metal in particular. It's the result of fusing metals together (in most cases) as an heterogeneous mixture, but resulting in having the properties of a homogeneous one. An alloy is, for example, bronze, a mixture between iron and copper, that results in a metal that improves the qualities of both. Another example are amalgams, alloys made with mercury.

UNLESS you are talking about something else like metal bands or other stuff. In wich case I'll just shut up D:
