Additionally, time joined does matter, because customer support changes over time, and that's the whole basis of the argument, you know? Also, it's entirely possible to play this game without ever getting hacked. A majority of the population hasn't been hacked, and a majority of the people who do get hacked are hacked due to social hacking (I.E giving someone they trust their info). Nexon used to not do anything about this, but now they will give you a hefty sum of maple points to assist you in possibly putting you back on your feet.
It's hard to change a game when it's designed around Korean's interests in a whole different market... But they're definitely trying, at least from my perspective.
However, I think the game is way too far gone for me to have any long term interest in it now.
that's just nitpicking though, of course there is change, there's always change, you don't act the same way you did a year ago, obviously things change. saying that nexon didn't change meant that whatever they've done isn't worth considering a change, whoo they can write nice apology and promise letters now.
and i'll just quote southperry for that join date thing: "more old nostalgic farts per capita than any other maple fansite" we don't even need to go as far as when the game began you know. a 1-year period is usually good enough to measure imrpovement, and in maple's case, there's none or close to none, whatever wording you prefer
going on:
Quote:a majority of the people who do get hacked are hacked due to social hacking
those are dumbasses and i'm not taking them in account, you said majority, i'm not talking about them, i'm talking about the "minority" (which is quite large mind you) that truly did get hacked. or that database leak that we had in... what, 2010? thanks to the NX trade system whose name i already forgot. there's also those who abuse the very thing you mentioned about social hacking you know? quite easy if you know a few people in other regions/continents, then again by the time you get an answer...
i'm not arguing about the game being P2W (it is) my point is that the game fails to protect itself from hackers (at least in this thread that's my point, it fails to be truly F2P and on and on and on and the list is long)
to put it simply, if you made a chronological chart of all of nexon's promises, and big hacking incidents and their duration... you'd have one very depressing chronological chart.
