Ahh! That makes sense. Yeah, it's definitely an interesting field. I would like to label it as a hobby rather than a profession to be honest.
I feel the same way, I like to explain to strangers, it's the study of static objects. In other words, stuff that stands still.
Oh man, my destructive-testing class, there were at least 60 or so acronyms. It's ridiculous.
Nonetheless, it was pretty damn awesome.
