I cringed a lot at this chapter. I liked some of the parts concerning the sub-zero abilities, though. Not that I'm happy with the whole "true form of Sode no Shirayuki" thing. Renji and Rukia got so lame from these recent chapters.
I thought she was going to make a (horribly out-of-place) point about being dead, whereas quincies are alive, but apparently she considers herself alive?
However, the fact that they're spirits doesn't really stop them from abiding by the "natural laws". It's really up to Kubo. This is his interpretation of spirits, and who's the say that the Soul Society spirits are like the ones in the legends we are familiar with in our culture? I don't think we should criticise him for that.

For some people that was the highlight of the chapter. For me, I just can't get over the fact they are supposed to be pineappleing spirits, already dead for hundred of years and natural laws like those shouldn't apply to them at all.
