And in your book you're reclaiming a word you have no right to reclaim. .

I am almost positive the word papaya had nothing to do with the LGBTQ+ community.

In fact I believe I have read that the word was not used to describe homosexuals till like 1914 in print. So are you not also doing the same thing you are accusing the other person is doing?

Either the American Language is fluid and always evolving, which it is, and can have words switch meaning often or it is extremely static and rigid and you need to release your claim to the word papaya by the standards you set.
