Le board with only lack of rule "spam rule only rule not enforced"

So I ask, why is there a flooding rule. if I am in this said subforum, and have a 40 post long monolouge, who do I hurt? do I hurt the website? do I hurt the users? Am I doingsomething warrenting a ban? or is it, just control, for... control sake?

Because it's a pain in the ass and a waste of time, quite frankly. Someone clicks "what's new?" and gets a pointless thread. Someone sees a bunch of new posts in Shenanigans and thinks there's some great thing going on when there isn't.
