The point is that he has enough dedication and motivation to achieve it, not that he can sit there spamming one button all day. It takes a lot more effort than you'd think, especially since he's been maximizing his exp multipliers, which I'm sure took lots of testing and planning. Keeping a full party active 24/7 with all the buffs he needs would be a headache too, I'd imagine (that is if he's not using multiple computers).

Oh i'm not saying it isn't a lot of effort, like I said, fair play to him for sticking with it, but I personally still think it's a stretch that he could do that everyday without bending the rules.
