It is a shame this will be gone after today, at least temporarily.
You can only beat the robot if most players in the team do well. If there are bad players or those who afk through the whole game (yes they will still get B rank and reward boxes for doing nothing -_-), entire team will fail in killing him. Game difficulty that you choose does not affect whether the robot will die faster. It just depends on how good the team is.
Im not sure about the reward system in gms version, but here, you get more event coins if you do hard mode, but more reward boxes in normal mode. People who aimed for chaos goodness like me just spam normal mode and aimed for SS rank. People who want more event coins kept doing hard mode and aim for SS. As for defeating the robot, the whole team is awarded with 1 extra box.
Anyway, I didnt really care about defeating the robot anymore after many rounds of encountering afk lazy players -_- I just did my best to get SS for more boxes for myself.
