Yep, I managed to kill Red Grosso on my Hayato.

Only had to put all my equips onto it and link every damage-buffing link skill to get it done with about 10 seconds to spare. It's a little frustrating how weak Hayato is on bosses. Like, this is with 60% boss, 67% ignore def, and a 117k clean range (higher than my Dark Knight's which is 95k despite Spears having the better multiplier)
Would be kinda annoying to have to swap all my gear and link skills back and forth Hayato to Dark Knight every day just for that one octopus. So I think instead I'm gonna do 4x Herb Town on my Hayato (best exp option - about 52mil a day without killing Livyatan, which is far outside the range of possibility even with all my best equips) and leave the boss killing to my Dark Knight, who can kill Livyatan and both Grosso.
Lowering the droprate seems kinda academic; today my Dark Knight and Hayato with seven runs between them (4 Herb Town on the DrK, 3 Rien on the Hayato) - none of 7 green Grosso, 4 cyan Livyatin, or 1 Red Grosso dropped a single equip.
