And we do. Its drops are what we take to be Grosso Polpo's drops. But because it dies without you hitting it (?), it's not affected by drop multipliers. Or something.

Why would the drops be tied to the tentacles hitbox though and not the actual boss itself? I'm more inclined to believe that Grosso Polpo does drop the items itself, but it has a different system of dropping compared to other bosses. (hence why we only get 1 item from it and some mesos).
