I'm not against having the UI, I'm saying the UI has little use now. I know which skills are link skills, which skills are decent, and which skills are from quests, etc. They are not the same. I don't get mixed up.
Maybe you're one of the lucky people who can flawlessly switch characters without connection failures, or having your client close, and similar problems. If so, I'm happy for you. Not everyone has the same luck, though. Logging in to 10+ different characters whenever you want to level or boss with a different character can be a torture for some people, and really takes away from the game.
I don't see what's so crazy about making a minor tweak to the existing UI. Keep all the current restrictions, except allow any character to switch any skill.
