Jump forward and Power Strike at the same time so you keep moving. Speed helps. When I was CPQing, I had two sets of equipment. Maple Impaler + 15/6 Chainmail (lulz) for when I needed Accuracy, i.e. Avoid+, and a Bathrobe for etc. occassions for the Speed. I chose an Impaler because I found the speed advantage suited my funding better than what I could afford and find with a Scorpio/Nine Dragons/Snowboard. If there are two or more monsters, Slash Blast. If monsters are close together but you can't hit all of them at once, jump towards them while you're Slash Blasting so you can gather a mob.
If it's Bowmen, Sins, or Gunslingers, summon Trojans or Master Chronos and Speed/W.Atk+. Weaken and/or Darkness helps too. Wait until you have some Stunners lying on the floor before you start summoning so you can get a kill. If it's any other job, try to avoid summoning any monsters and go with Avoid+ If they're still killing things, go W. Atk Cancel.
Guard+ is actually Magic+ and vice-versa. Not many people know that.
