Now that we know tyrants can become whirlwind it's a legitimate upgrade. Unless of course you intend to get more than 7 stars in which case do that and then transfer.
Is it? I always figured upgrading Tyrant to Whirlwind was a bad idea considering Tyrant is still a "Superior Item", but I guess it makes sense with the whole "Enhancements transfer over" system.
