Upcoming Winter Update

Was it? We've only gotten snippets so far though, and some of the things they mention sound very promising and if it doesn't turn out that way it can still go the way of mileage and they'll tweak it to be even less p2w. Mileage alone is a pretty big deal. I probably wouldn't bother spending mileage in america just because we know it'll be 100% later though haha.

A couple people in this topic commented about the Dec 19 update being the "Super less P2W" update. I'm just going by their word. Whether that ends up being the case or not we'll see.
