I'll be honest, aside from wondering if this was rushed or they have officially ran out of ideas, this episode seemed to be..okay.
Something to really question here, was the fact that for one, how did this "Tree Of Harmony" even exist? To an extent, even Celestia and Luna do not know of it's origins, that or even how they found it. Convenience? To of a more extent, for one Plot Device, they give it up for another plot device, which was been explained already:"It's a box." It's pandora's box obviously. It's either that, or possibly a upgraded set of Elements, and that it's worth watching key episodes, and that I'm guessing we're to have high expectations on.
Things still seem way to convenient. The elements being in Twilight's former living quarters, Zecora's potion, the roots being impervious to everything, and even the flashblacks to an extent. Still, if it was rushed, that's not good, well, nor is it bad, but let's just hope the quality doesn't suffer...at all.
