Nexon NA still keeps GMS up to date (I believe the second version in terms of updates, right behind KMS.) server activity explodes for major updates and 2x EXP events. It's nowhere close to dying. It's nowhere close to being DFO style abandoned.
Yes, we're all a bunch of cynical bastards when it comes to the state of the game, but we're all still here talking about it instead of moving on, aren't we? MS doesn't really have any viable competition in terms of 2-D sidescrolling MMOs in the NA region. (MS2 won't even be competing with it for that role from the sounds of things.) There's LaTale, but, well, if you want to talk about a game that's on life support.....
