There's usually a hidden power calculator, but that may have changed in this gen. There's always the hidden power checker guy though. He's in the building where you get the tm i think.

Yeah, I know. It probably did change with this generation with adding in fairy to it.
Like before, there was some formula or something that's tied to a specific IV which determine's the type. Breeding around for that as well as getting the IVs you want will take a while. I guess at least in this generation, it's only those with extremely shallow special move pools that will make use of it. Technician users will have something better.
