I hope MS2 has more to do with MS1 than the FAQ suggests (in terms of content and theme).

Personally, I have yet to be impressed with any 3D sequels to 2D games. I'll take artistically styled sprite art over obvious polygons / stiff models, bad collision detection, and camera glitches. To me, 3D game technology has yet to get out of the "uncanny valley" stage, so it's painfully obvious when a company tries to make a hybrid of 2D style and 3D models and fails horribly.

Generally why I don't like 3D games.
