I really don't understand your reasoning behind this. It's something that some people would like to see, and others would rather not. It's pretty simple. You act like this is the death of the existence of maplestory itself. Like the worst that could happen is that i signed a measly petition for no reaction from nexon. Big woop. Might as well try.

Let me explain;

What you want is nothing more than a static private server who's entire basis is on good memories rather than the reality of what maplestory was back then. I'm sure when you were in your pre-teens, it was the best thing on the planet, much like the power rangers or the power puff girls. The server he's suggesting is pre big bang, which would mean;

Night lords being overpowered
Dark knights getting shafted as they have to maintain half their hp to 15% weaker than Hero's who have full hp. (which the concept was nice)
Alter holding
Ultimate leeching, which held up majority of the channels
White scrolls being a secondary currency
Onyx apple dependency (again beneficial to Night lords)
Big foot harassment

Not to mention the common hacks that would reappear, such as the disconnect hack. These are probably the biggest problems we had to deal with back then, but I'm sure people can easily add onto this. If you want to "fix" those that were mentioned, then you're defeating the point of the server itself. It's a capsule of what you, the OT(who discussed it with one other friend) approve of based on a severely limited perspective. Some people want this server back because they miss the things that were fair to them but not to others, such as ultima leeching, bigfoot ksing, and the clear night lord reign at bossing.

Oh let's also not forget about the clear exploitation in MTS. This is all not even discussing the social aspect missing which would make this a further empty shell. You can claim this is pessimism being played here, but it's really just being skeptical of the whole thing. Sure I would love for it to work, but then what? There's no future for it, players will begin to demand for the new classes as they are more familiar with them, they would demand new pq's, new bosses, then you have entirely new micro managed game, obviously it can't be the same. The features that you most likely have adapted too and enjoy would suddenly go poof, such as expedition. Would you ever put pink bean? Because from my understanding it was undefeatable without basic potential, would you make them scale it down? How far until the elite micro manage even that boss?

What's demanded here is unreasonable because it won't fix the problem, just allow another distraction for those who can't honestly let go.

Quite frankly this "pre bb talk" kind of makes me laugh, our generation was massively looking forward to this update.
