Waltzing specifically mentioned that it was a "bug" and that it would eventually cause too much inflation. (which is hilarious, but whatever.)
I guess it's completely okay to directly sell mesos for NX, ruin boss drops and then throw them into NX gamble buy ins, but not okay to have a decent source of income for newer/unfunded players.
