If you look at the combat menu while he's firing the guns its changed into " TwoShoot Blaster" So its probably some special-move or something instead of an actual keyblade change.
The only time I've seen a keyblade ever not be something-you-swing-at-things is w/ Terra's armor (or something), which uses it as a cannon and a bow.
