Harrisonized, you're talking as if you have to be married to someone to be friends with them.
Maple marriage, assuming you're not going to do APQ, is just a bunch of extra pixels. Sure, if you marry your girlfriend in real life it has a nice meaning, but either way, she's still your girlfriend. And if you marry a 'girlfriend' in Maple... what does it really mean to be a girlfriend in Maple? And if you marry a girl who isn't your girlfriend but is still a close friend, again; how does being married change anything?
If I had a girlfriend who played Maple, I wouldn't want us to get married in-game. I'd spend the $25 on something more meaningful, more tangible, between us.
