Why do we play Maplestory?

I stopped hardcore playing Maple a few years back, now I play max 2 hours a day, sometimes I don't bother or am too tired from work. But even then and now I have not spent a single cent on the game. I have a decent number of high levelled characters with eq decent enough to let me solo most low-mid tier bosses (assuming I don't DC). Events were my main source of meso income, but I've never really been considered rich at any point of time should I compare myself with people who spend NX or go for top-tier boss expeditions. Mostly because I'm a lone wolf, I occasionally PQ but otherwise I don't party.

Don't downplay the existence of players like me.
