Personally, one of the biggest wake-up calls to "Why am I still playing this?" was the attendance events.
It made me realize how time-consuming everything is on Maple - to the point that Maple now feels like a part-time job (especially if you want to be/stay funded).
The community kept me around but with the advent of Skype and social media making it easier to keep in contact with people, I can't bring myself to play anymore.
More or less, Maple feels more like a 5 GB chatting program now.
I've never felt like I've gotten my money's worth on anything in Maple so I always advise people not to spend money on this game.
