Why I played:
-Playerbase with similar interests (anime, etc)
-My friends outside of the game/IRL were playing it (quite intensely)
-Appealed to me at the time I began playing/I fit the target audience
-I made friends in-game that I didn't want to abandon
-The NX seemed reasonable back then: no gach, no 2X, and no potential (just clothing)
-I actually liked the music
-It was my first MMO, so the very concept intrigued me
-The events were [more] fun [to me](Lunar wish tickets/etc)
-PQs were much more active, and they actually worked (APQ, CWKPQ)
-It introduced me to other communities
Why I don't play it anymore:
-Surplus of cash based items that give an unfair advantage to those who invest in them
-Too many characters, unending balance patches
-Glitch ridden, illogical ban system
-Updates don't focus on the things I'd like them to be focusing on
-A larger portion of the community has become hostile/ill-mannered/unfriendly (likely due to its growth since launch; Its harder to avoid the bad ones when your odds of running into them are that much greater)
-It won't even run consistently for me in the first place (I get some error with a gigantic number attached to it when I try to play on my laptop. Too lazy to check what error it is at this point)
-I've grown tired of being called weak, and don't feel like spending the money needed to remedy the problem
-Most or all of my friends have quit the game
Why I still check updates/the game occasionally:
-To see if anything has changed, or will change
-To see if broken things that were preventing me from playing certain portions of the game are fixed
-To see if any of my old friends have returned (they do, occasionally)
-Nostalgia
-For the hell of it
