No idea. Maybe he spins ala Levi from SnK/AoT and slashes/whips with it. Maybe it's got a special coating that he uses to keep his body slick or something. I like it BECAUSE it's his tongue, which is decidedly different/unique compared to what he could have been. I liked the bubbles a bit better, but hey, he's still better than the other two.
