I like the bulky, brawler-esque design, along with the stylized features such as the eyebrows, flame collar, and symbols on his belly.

Also, "speed" in single player is completely irrelevant. I don't enjoy battling online whatsoever so I stick to single player, so my teams are always made up of what I find "cool" -- design-wise, or interesting, etc.
