Since this kind of turned into the Oreimo thread, I just finished all of the anime and wanted to ask if the light novel is worth a read or if the ending is any different? To preface, I think the anime had an awful ending. I was really upbeat around Episode 5 after a slow start and if it ended at Episode 9, I would have been content. Let's keep watching though, getting to the harem-comedy in Episode 12 was worth watching the other episodes, back to Oreimo-styled zaniness.
Then the end of Episode 12 happened and I wish I had stopped. Not that I didn't expect what happened to happen but everything just tumbled downhill from there. Episode 15 was decent and there were nice moments interspersed but 14 was a killer and the ending feels like a total waste.
