Hmm...I don't see a crown, but there is a "flash" (looking like a part of ness' fair) part of the animation that wasn't in melee.

I think keeping the flash would be silly in combination with the slicing of the air effect, and the crown makes sense for what a strong move it has always been, so the feedback on such a small change is understandably positive.
